Finding Strength
I have enJOYed my week off. I have taken and organized photos. I have been able to Smilebox and Shutterfly, one of those projects being Christ as my hero. I have also viewed the DVD's I never get around to watching because of preferences of Noah and Rick. As I watched the Reflections of Christ, The Testaments, Finding Faith in Christ and others, I discovered happiness in my moments of affliction. I found a new hope. I realized, truly, my strength is in Christ. I found JOY in being able to put those words to one of my photos of a fountain...Christ the living waters is what nurtures and sustains me.

Reflections: Diversity Means...
JOY was appreciating Noah's photographs depicting 2011-2012 Reflections Theme, "Diversity Means..." Not an easy theme for a young child to understand let alone capture in a work of art. Here are the few ideas Noah decided upon...now we just need to select the one he enters.
*The books: Diversity means adventure, knowledge, imagination, discovery and choice.
*The photo of Noah: Diversity means being able to see the variety of colors the world has to offer.
*The collage: Diversity means delicious, sweet, adventure, knowledge, imagination, creativity, discovery, choice, and the ability to see the variety of colors the world has to offer.

Autumn Bliss
Digital collage made with Smilebox |
I am so enJOYing this beautiful Fall. Each day there are new and brighter colors. I can scarcely take it all in.

Halloween City
We enJOYed an adventure to Halloween City with Paige and Tate. Noah found a costume... a Zombie Doctor with all it's guts protruding out! There was an element of fun though, like trying on different hats and masks. Oh and talk about the creepy life size creatures. It was a reminder of what I dislike about Halloween: gaunt on the verge of dying creatures, scary masks, clowns (couldn't even be photographed) zombie babies, devilish objects, candy binges, the prices and of course Christmas Advertising.

Sister Serendipity
JOY is Serendipity--happy surprises, the gift for finding good things accidentally. Serendipity has a name and she is related to me...or maybe it is that she makes good things happen. She is the one that mysteriously shows up at a baptism, a blessing, a birthday, a graduation...she is the one that organizes a 50th anniversary for our parents. She is the one to call and text to let you know how much you are loved. She is the one that keeps the family tight and provides opportunities for us to be together be it at Hebgen or Bryan's graduation. She is the one that shares with me a wonderful love for the Savior. She is the one that brings me some of my greatest JOYS. Chelle came to visit Maddie for the weekend and she made time to be with me. So that afternoon, JOY came wrapped in the meal at Cafe Rio, laughter, conversation, reminiscing days gone by and those yet to come. The greatest though, she loves me in spite of my challenges and difficulties and she is always praying for me. JOY is having a sister that is also your best friend.

Blast from my Past
Choosy mothers choose Jif. My mother chose Peter Pan and Wonder Bread. I couldn't help but put some Peter Pan upon my shelf.
I enJOY memories from the past and a great PB&J sandwich.

Garage Sale
Noah had an opportunity to go with a friend to a garage sale. I gave him some money and told him to spend wisely. JOY was seeing his purchase.
