Faith No More

I was asked to substitute in Noah's class in Primary. I needed this lesson to serve as a reminder to have faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. I do have faith...but I want the kind of faith that the Brother of Jared had. He not only saw the finger of the Lord, but because of his great faith and belief in Jesus' words, was permitted to stand in the presence of the Lord. He did not need faith now for he had a perfect knowledge. JOY is knowing that if I earnestly seek the Lord's assistance, He will answer my prayers or guide me to the solutions for my challenges. Truthfully, I can hardly wait to put this principle to the test.

Yes...I have my photos on the computer organized... another project completed. I always knew I had JOY clicking away on my camera, but I had forgotten the JOY that comes when I view them once again. Noah and I took a moment to view them as a slideshow with music...so much fun.

Loose Ends

July 14, 2011
JOY is finishing up loose ends, a trip to the dump and OxiClean. We came home from the dump to find the kitchen and family room flooded. Oxi Clean not only took the water spots out, but a few of Vinci's too. JOY is a brand new water heater...and Rick being the handyman that he is, saved us $400.00 in an installation fee. JOY is also prepared neighbors. Their Bissel Steamer pulled up the water from the carpet.

Before and Afters

BEFORE and AFTERS...I just love before and afters when it comes to projects. (Doesn’t really apply with age.) I took on a project to clean the home. What seemed like a daunting job became a quest to make everything better than it was...Not only did the home get cleaned but the visual improvement made my sense of accomplishment soar. JOY is being able to take the mundane and turn it into something positive.

It Matched

July 9,2011
Yahoo!! I was able to get out of bed and join Rick on some more painting. The renters are moving in today and so we had to be efficient. JOY was seeing that the paint job matched. We still have a few items to complete on the list, but now we will get to see the home from their perspective and personalities.

Painting

July 8, 2011
I love to paint! It was a true JOY to paint the bedroom with Rick. I felt like we were partners in something. I guess I am a perfectionist because I wanted the room to be just right. I stayed up until 3:00 to fix a few things.

I found JOY in giving my very best.

Cleanliness is Godliness

June 27, 2011
Between an apartment, a basement apartment, and a large home all needing deep cleaning...I thought I must be Cinderella...and then we were asked to clean the Church House. I have to say, though it is hard work, the fruits of my labors have been worthwhile. With all the places I have been asked to clean, I was thrilled to be able to include the Lord’s House. I am a far better housekeeper and organizer than I thought...discovering that... is JOY.

Vinci Pooh

June 17, 2011
Having a Great Dane in a small basement apartment is a challenge. Needless to say there were spots, many spots on the carpet. It made my stomach curdle to get on the floor to play with Noah.

JOY is having CLEAN CARPETS thanks to The Lyons Carpet Cleaning Company.

Noah had friends over. I would not let them enter the apartment because of dirty feet and beautiful carpets. I grabbed the boys and picked up take out at Cafe Rio and had a tailgate party in the back of Rick’s truck.

That was JOY...why haven’t we “Tailgated” before?
